With a ninth and tenth film confirmed since 2014, it was confirmed that Justin Lin would return to direct F9 in October 2017. John Cena joined the cast in June 2019 and principal photography began that same month, lasting through November and shooting in London, Los Angeles and Thailand.

In 1989, Jack Toretto participates in a NASCAR race, along with his sons Dominic Toretto and Jakob Toretto in his pit crew. Dom argues with rival racer Kenny Linder about his dirty tactics. As the race resumes, Linder’s car hits Jack’s bumper and causes the car to hit a wall and explode, killing him. After the accident, Dom is arrested after nearly beating Linder to death with a wrench (this event being the one in which he would later tell Brian O’Conner in the first installment).

While they are in the Caspian Sea, they all go to a secret base where they all meet and then Mia Toretto appears, who joins the group for the mission to stop and stop the plans of Otto, Jakob and Cipher.

With the upcoming release of Fast and Furious 9 in Mexican theaters, expectations are high for fans of the franchise, since, according to early reviews, it is one of the most ridiculously attractive installments, thanks to its chaotic scenarios, explosions and even space travel. However, it is also curious to take a look at the four actors in the saga who have appeared in productions of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, undoubtedly two of the most important franchises in the history of cinematic entertainment and that, curiously, housed in its ranks four interpreters of the saga commanded by Vin Diesel.

Not only Vin Diesel is the undisputed protagonist of the Fast and Furious saga with his role as Dominic Toretto, but he also joined the MCU in 2014 to lend his voice to Groot, the tender and sympathetic character who practically only says his name to communicate. Although we don’t see the actor as such in front of the frame, he is the one who speaks the character’s few lines and this has led him to have credits in four different Marvel Studios movies. As a curiosity, Diesel stars in Bloodshot, a film based on the Valiant comics. Will he get a better proposal to be in front of the camera?

La familia de Fast and Furious está celebrando veinte años de coches de alto octanaje, emociones de acción descerebradas y lugares de rodaje sensacionales. Esta entrega de la saga llega a los cines más de un año después de su estreno previsto inicialmente para mayo de 2020.

Dom Toretto (interpretado por Vin Diesel), que solía ser un forajido, ha sentado la cabeza y vive con su hijo Brian y su mujer, Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodríguez). El equipo vuelve a la acción cuando Cipher (Charlize Theron) se une a Jakob (John Cena), el hermano pequeño de Dom, para vengarse de éste y su equipo.

F9, que marca el penúltimo capítulo de la franquicia, es la secuela de The Fate of the Furious (2017). Hobbs and Shaw (2018) fue un spinoff protagonizado por The Rock y Jason Statham, que ni siquiera hacen un breve cameo, aunque esta película está reuniendo a muchos viejos miembros de la tropa de velocistas.

Las secciones de la secuencia de Montequinto con el reparto principal se rodaron en los estudios Leavesden de Inglaterra. Aquí se construyeron más decorados en los estudios, como el hangar, el piso franco subterráneo de Mr. Nobody (interpretado por Kurt Russell) y las escenas que tienen lugar en Tokio con Letty y Mia (Jordana Brewster).
